WE FINALLY HAVE A NAME!

A good friend of mine a week or so again was speaking with me about this winters mission. He brought up several great points, one of which being, what are we going to call this mission. Well, after pondering this for a while and trying to find a name that had not been used yet (a lot tougher than I thought!), we have come to a conclusion.......... this winter will be the winter of:

The SoCO 14er Expedition

We originally started the planning of the intense mission just limiting ourselves to the San Juan Mountains, however, after looking at a map and realizing that we are in the heart of heaven living in Gunnison, CO, the Elk Mountain Range and the Sangre de Christos are well in range as well. By expanding our field of 14ers to choose from, not only has the ante been raised, but so have our options. We will now be able to take a trip to wherever the snow is flying and will hopefully be able to find great lines no matter what situation is. 

The original goal will stand to hike and ski all the 14ers in the San Juans, however, this will be followed by the Elk's and finally the Sangre de Christo's. By amending the plan in this manner, we have opened up an additional 17 peaks to climb and ski making the grand total of 31 peaks. 

Additionally, with so many weather forecasters calling for an El Nino winter pattern, our fingers are crossed and we are praying for one of the greatest snow falls of all time. 

The anticipation is building and we can't wait.
